It's been a while

I've taken the last 2 weeks off. No training plan. No running. The pool has been cleaned and maintained; masters has started again.

I have been mountain biking and it's been great. I'm finally not out of breath after a few switchbacks. It takes awhile to get in mountain biking shape after road biking all summer. Mountain biking on the trails with the leaves changing is simply amazing. Life is so good right now. I'm going to keep mountain biking and start swimming. Oh and running.

I'm ready to get back to the training plan. I certainly miss coming to work in the morning after a long run or swim and feeling like a million bucks.

I've read all my motivational blogs today, looked at the swimming schedule, rode my bike with aerobars (I love my bike all over again), and I'm ready. Ready for the challenges such as training in cold temperatures and just being in the training moment.

It never fails to amaze me......

that triathlon bloggers get me motivated when I get off track.

This week I've been eating too much ice cream and watching too much TV. When this happens, I get off my training plan, stop reading about Ironman, and feel blah. I'm still running because I have an event coming up, but I haven't been on my bike and miss swim time at the Y.

But then some how I come across a tri blog and I spend 20 minutes on it. Then I link to another site that is even better and I'm sucked right back in; and I love it.

I got my aerobars a few days ago and they don't quite fit. But it's not a set back, I can bring it to my bike shop and get them fitted correctly. My wetsuite came in the mail yesterday (an early birthday present from my mom & dad; thanks mom & dad) and it fits.

I'm back on track today. I am going to throw away the rest of the delicious Reese Peanut Butter Cup ice cream in the freezer and bike to yoga
