Week 9 has been all about the bike. I’ve been biking outside every chance I get. I finally got my bike computer working correctly and it’s fun to see the miles when I’ve only been concentrating on hours. Yesterday I had spin in the morning and then met my friend Tina for a 2 hour ride in the wind. The wind has been gusting lately and it’s scary at times to be on Route 40 but I have to get used to biking in all kind of conditions. Who knows what it will be like in Coeur d’Alene mid-June.
The pool opens tomorrow and I plan to swim Saturday and Sunday and finish 2 workouts that I missed earlier in the week.
Next week is 13 hours including a 4 ½ hr bike ride. I’m not sure what route I’ll take. I am wishing for good weather; and no more S-word.
I was really hoping to post the GPS map of the ride Randy and I did in Boulder/Broomfield/Erie last Sunday but Randy lost all the data. I know we did 57 miles averageing 18 mph. But the map would’ve been cool to see since most of the time I had no clue where were. I miss the flat riding. Here – it’s all hills and wind. But I’m sucking it up to training and getting strong.
