Great ending to a training week: 57 mile ride on Sunday. Randy and I met somewhere around Boulder (I'm not sure during the ride where we were at times) and rode his MS150 route.
The first 20 miles were awesome. I stayed aero most of the time and scenery was spectacular. It was mostly flat and fast. Going down to 5,000 feet felt amazing to the lungs. I wore bike shorts for the first time and the temps were in the high 50s.
A perfect day.
I'm just waiting for Randy to post the trip report from his GPS and will link to his blog shortly.
I'm taking today off and have a full week of outdoor biking (at 8,000 feet) this week. Temperatures are going to be in the high 50s this week so I'm getting out as much as I can.
And to those in cars, remember, don't wash your windshield as you pass bikers. We get wet; and it's kind of gross.
